Coronavirus: Staff force Louvre closure over infection fears

The Louvre Museum in Paris has closed due to concern about coronavirus infection. It was closed all Sunday. The French government on Saturday banned meetings to prevent an expansion

To date, France has one hundred cases of coronavirus and two people was died.


What happened at the Louvre on Sunday?

They held a meeting to assess the situation and decided that it would be best to close the facility to prevent more people from being infected. The Sunday marathon in Paris was also eliminated.


Words that were said during the meeting: "The Louvre is a small space that houses more than 5,000 people a day," Galani said.

"There is genuine concern on the part of the staff."
